OFD technician inspecting a metal component

Include the following quality and documentation requirements with your inquiry so inspection scope, pricing and delivery can be reviewed. Inspection activities and delivery documents are subject to the requirements agreed in the order.

01Products and acceptance criteria

Provide product names, part numbers, quantities, drawings and revision numbers, together with applicable standards and acceptance criteria. Identify complete fluid ends, fluid end bodies and individual components separately.

02Materials and traceability

Where material certificates are required, specify material grades, certificate types and the required link to heat or production batch numbers.

03In-process inspection

List critical dimensions, heat treatment, hardness, surface treatment and required records. Agree any nondestructive testing methods, sampling levels and acceptance criteria before ordering.

04Final inspection and testing

Specify visual, dimensional, assembly and performance inspection requirements. For pressure testing or third-party witnessing, provide test conditions, report formats and witnessing arrangements.

05Packaging and delivery documents

Confirm product identification, packing lists, packaging requirements, document language, electronic or printed copies and submission dates.

Submit additional inspection or documentation requirements before order confirmation so their effect on production and delivery can be assessed. Management system certification does not replace product-specific inspection or acceptance records.
